The inner who embrace the outter. You are a badass review part 3

Off we go to the third part of my You Are a Badass review!

After all the how to raise your willing to love yourself more, now we are arriving in the part where you learn how to love yourself.

The first step to love yourself is simply embrace your inner badass.

First of all, you need to understand why all the self-development stuff begin with simply love yourself. Because, yes, love yourself is like the key to your life, if you love yourself everything would work eventually.

But, really how in the world we can start to love ourselves?

Living in this cruel world, you grow up infused by other people telling you are not good enough. You are not good enough to be happy, to study algebra, to cook the freaking indomie, or even to be loved. In fact, screw that, it's not about others, it's about you in the first place. Start to make yourself as your first priority. Listen into your guts than others' B.S.

You don't need no lover to tell you if you are the most wonderful human being, you can do that by yourself. Send yourself a love-letter, give yourself a movie night ticket, buy yourself a Large Chatime Matcha Tea Latte with a lot of Pearls. Think of it as if it's a spell. Therefore, you constantly be reminded that you are the most stunning people alive.

Most importantly, stop compare yourself with others. The reason why we stuck in the zone and stressing on what others think of us is that we constantly compare ourselves to others. Your friend might be getting married next week, or on their way to the South Korea, or even in their 3rd purchase on some high-priced moisturizer, but why in the world we should anxious about? We all have that so-called timing in our lives, maybe now it’s not your time, but it will surely arrive in the end of the day. So just focus on yourself.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME GIVING ONE SINGLE CRAP ABOUT WHAT ANYBODY ELSE THINKS OF YOU"
If you have a dream, hold on to it tightly, because it’s the way to identify who you truly are. Dream is like yourself motivation. Pay attention and practice it anytime possible. Screw it if you don’t have one! Find it, find a mentor, hero, role model or even ask for others’ help. Because sometimes other people can see what we wanted to be, but try to be more sharp to it because in the end it is your own life.

But what if you still can't find your dream? BE ALLIEN! Yes, you heard that allien. Behave as if you are the new citizen of this world. Start to see everything in the new perspective. Figure everything out as if you are the newly baby born. Look around and see more specifically to the things that turn you on. By that, you would realize how fortunate your life is, you start see a lot of opportunity hidden.

Sometimes, the way you have choose is different than the rest. But, that doesn't mean you should stop on what you are doing, and change that all over again.

"It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not."

Start to know yourself better. Be your own friend, supportive fans or even your own guardian. Accept all your perfections and imperfections. Know that you are better than others in so many extraordinary way.  Embrace your inner badass, so your appearance start to reveal who you are. When you enjoy and feel yourself, you know that you are in midst to love yourself journey.

once upon a time when I travel the world

One day, I travel the world.

And by travel the world, I meant visiting another blog.

Actually, it isn't really a big deal since I did it so many times. However, what make it different is that I "travel" it very religiously. I found so many information through my travel. Maybe I should travel more, and leave my footprints.

This time, I would like to share my travel experience that mostly about a book review.

The first "world" I've visit is Texmanita's blog. She wrote a book review tittled "The One Skills". If I should summarize, she wrote about how to find a peace in our life. She wrote that the first five skills that we should have in order to have a peace in our life is to letting go, stop procrastination, face our fears, be kind with "difficult people" and getting rid of distraction. That way, we can easily find peace.

Her blog is so pleasant to see, I guess she likes purple so much. You should check her blog out if you want to gain peace in your life. Just follow this link.

And the next "world" is Siti Maemunah's blog. This time, she wrote a book review tittled "The Magic of Thinking Big." She wrote about how to open our mind wider that we see a good in everything. One quote that I strongly like is:
successful people never give excuses,”

I know one girl that says yes to every life's opportunity has given her, knowing that she didn't have a clue for what she should doing in the first place. However, that's what make her success. Once opportunity hit her, she never turn it down nor give any excuses. And, to be say yes to everything we should have an open mind. According to Maemunahsiti12's blog there are several ways to open our mind, the first four ways is we should believe in ourselves, don't be afraid to take any chances, have a big confidence in ourselves, and last but not least to think big.

For those of you who want to have your mind open even wider, just click this link and follow the step by step to reach that.

The third "world" I've visit is, Yevi Elok's blog. As I read the tittle of her review which "Forrest Gump" my mind went through the memory when I first watch the movie version of it. I can say that Forrest Gump has became me and my friend's favorite movie. We watched it together, we laughed together, then we cried together. One quote that represent this book is:
"I was born an idiot, but ‘I’m cleverer than most people think."

Forrest Gump might be different with any other people. However, something aboutou Forrest Gump that makes him special in so many ways. For what I can get from Forrest Gump is the ability of him to see good in everything. He's such a positive person. He leave so many good memories for anyone who happen to know him.

Everyone should know his story in order to not underestimate others, because Forrest Gump, himself never underestimate others easily. If you want to read the review of the book, please click this link.

After went through so much feels, I moved on to the next "world" I visited which was Wafdaini's blog. She wrote the review of a book that I wanted to read for so long, it's "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. It's from Marie Kondo, the queen of tidying up as I should say. She teach us on how to tidying up precisely for a long term benefit. She had some method that not only we can apply to tidying up, but in improving our life. The method was so relatable and reasonable.

Please click this link, to know more about her method.

The next "world" I've visit is, Vera Siregar's blog. Nowadays, depression is one of many problems that a lot of people have to deal with. Not gonna lie, some people have the courage self-diagnose themselves without having meet someone professional. This time, Vera wrote several signs and symptoms if we going through some sort of depression. She wrote it completely, that you can get plenty of information. However, we should not self-diagnose ourselves but she review a book written by someone professional so maybe you should give her review a try. If you interested, you can click this link.

The last but not least "world" that I have visited is Vira Oktaviyani's. She wrote about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders. I once watch Korean Drama focusing on this disease, it's  called It's Okay It's Love. From what I knew about this disease is just the patient constantly hallucinating over something, because what they gone through in the past. However, I never knew that there are several kind of OCD before I read the review from her blog. I think what she brought is interesting matters because some people still don't understand about this disease, like me. If you do interested, you should check this link.

Several blog I've visit, gave so many thoughtful ideas and massage. They wrote it so pleasantly without being exaggerate. It's such a waste if you don't give those blog a read. I think you would experience the same thing as I did.

I called my "travel" as success because I got a lot of new information from there.

you are a badass part 2

Here we go to the second part of the review. In the first part of this book which is How You Got This Way, Jen starts with how should we start or even begin. The first part consist of 5 chapter.

The first chapter is My Subconscious Made It.

As humans, we have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind.

Conscious mind is our ability to think, about what is right and wrong, the real reality. Whilst Subconscious is our pure and innocent that does not understand what is right or wrong, they believe in whatever they hear or see, it developed to be our feeling and instinct.

Say our conscious mind is gas while our subconscious mind is the brake. As I have said, everything a conscious mind believes we see and hear. If our parents say that the woman’s duty is just to take care household and no need to work to pursue their dream, we will believe. Aside parents, we also believe what society brainwash in our minds, like size matters, you have to be white to be beautiful, we will believe. And what's worse, what they put into our minds—which likely not entirely true—will develop into beliefs, which can limit our minds.

"Most people are living in an illusion based on someone else’s beliefs."

Say, your conscious mind ask that you should hang out, meet new people or even travel abroad, but you are growing up belief that you should avoid strangers, or the world is a dangerous place—because your parents told you so—automatically your subconscious mind stops you from doing what you conscious mind asked you.

Our subconscious mind limits us to grow, to look for our true identity and made us close-minded whilst we are fed up enough with the mumbo jumbo society told us.

And that is the first step to changes, realize the real reason we can’t change and we should be open-minded.

The second chapter is The G Word.

Jen said, as another self-help-improving book. God would always be included. But, she never truly believe in that matter specifically. Until, she decided to start to believe again just because she had nothing to lose. Then, she started to notice something different happens and are going to happen to her life.

“This is about your faith being greater than your fear.”

Instead being afraid of anything—in improving yourself specifically—you just gotta believe in God that everything is already written and decided even in most uncertain things. You just gotta open your mind and believe that there is something bright after everything you have done.

The next chapter is Present as Pigeon.

Keep an open mind is truly blessed on our life. It’d open all closed door that hold you at some point. Open mind is having a mind that see everything in the positive way, see a good in a bad.

As our mind open, we start to see opportunity in the simplest thing. As a matter of fact, opportunities is already exist around us. It’s just that we get so overwhelmed and we are not yet aware of their existence. Therefore, sometimes we just gotta take a minute to be thankful on what we have and feel right now. By thankful, we start to notice all the opportunities we have not yet notice.

The next chapter is The Big Snooze.

Author refers The Big Snooze as Ego which means the part of our body that stop us for being happy. Ego stop us to see the world more brighter and broader. It’s like let us sleep on how truly powerful we are or how massively our universe is. Ego, also means that we let unnecessary people taking part in our life.

“…having others smear their fear and worry all over you is the last thing you need when you’re strengthening your superhero muscles to step out and take some risks.”

Sometimes in life you face people that doesn’t like your success in life, and concern about what you doing in life. And sometimes, that’s what stop us for doing what we like, we are so fed up on what others say that we afraid to start something new. And, having people like that surrounding you is the last thing you need in order to develop yourself. You just gotta trust in yourself, and move on.

“…Trust that your new life is already here and is far better than the old.”

The final chapter of the first part is Self-Perception is A Zoo.

Self-perception or as we know as self-love is the most important thing to self-help development. We spend our lives ignore ourselves and busy with what people’s life. We are anxious if people success and we let ourselves drown with a self-disappointment.

For a started we should be our own fans that support and accept everything we are.

“You are a badass. You can’t screw up so majorly that your badassery disappears. It is who you are. It’s who you always will be.”

We should have trust and love our own self, because if it doesn’t us, who does?

Loving yourself means that you won’t give up on you, once you fall, you would bring yourself up. You let yourself begin your each journey in starting your new best life. You are perfect in every way, you are one persistent human being that doesn’t give a single care to what everyone says about your journey.

And that wrapped up the first part of this book. In conclusion, to change your life its all come within yourself. You have to conscious on what you should trust or no, that doesn’t get in the way of your journey. You should open your mind, and notice all the existence of opportunities that God has given you. You should never trust what everyone said about you that let you down. You should love yourself, because you are a badass.
